On the border between Belgian Dubbel and French Biere de Garde, this beer is a bit hoppier than traditional Dubbels. Subtle burnt sugar and toffee aromas linger as the malt flavors balance out the smooth earthy hop character. As the beer warms the toffee and burnt sugar are joined by delicate cherry and raisin fragrances as you straddle the borders of French and Belgian beer style.
