Beer Description
This beer is cold-conditioned to provide medium-light body, and drinks smooth and crisp like a fine Pilsner.
A flagship of Wacker and one of only a handful of traditional German Ales, Kolsch is a delicate style of pale ale native to Cologne Germany. Color is pale and straw-like, producing a frothy white head that may not persist. A low noble hop aroma combines well with slight fruitiness from fermentation. Which will lead well into a soft, rounded palate consisting of sweet malt and a hint of hop bitterness that does not linger. Each sip finishes crisp and clean. Overall this beer is delicately balanced and one of the most sessionable ales from Germany.
