Beer Description
We then split the beer three ways, aging a portion in freshly dumped Bourbon barrels, a portion with Brettanomyces, and cold lagered the rest.
This beer began as an Imperial Stout. When the time was right, we blended everything back together. The result is this bold and unique barrel aged beer. Notes of bakers chocolate, toffee, and vanilla are abundant from the Bourbon barrels, while the Brettanomyces lends a light twang and wonderful complexity. The lagered portion of the beeradds a smoothness that unites it all. Don’t fear the nervous waters of Chandeleur Island.
