Anthem Pappy Burleson 2014

Wheat Wine Ale Aged in Bourbon Barrels – Randy “Pappy” Burleson. Lover of craft beer and good music, and supporter of Anthem when it was still just an idea in my head. It was on a trip with him to the west coast many years ago, long before aging beers in barrels became common, that he introduced me to the first bourbon barrel aged beer I’d ever had. A transformative moment, where an entirely new world of possibilities of what beer could be opened up to me. It was a day I’ll never forget, one that shaped my vision for Anthem. I will always be thankful for that day, and for his friendship and support. With that in mind, it was only fitting to create this beer in tribute and gratitude.
