Here is a maltier and bolder interpretation of Castelain—as if Bière de Garde were morphed into a Strong Golden Ale with a distinctly French accent. Powerful on the palate, fruity—made (like a kolsch) with ale yeast that is fermented at very low temperatures, then conditioned for a long slow maturation of 6 to 10 weeks.
