Beer Description
This style originally started as a stronger version of English Porter, brewed with ale yeast, and shipped through the North Sea to the Baltic nations. These countries took up brewing porters on their own, and when lager brewing swept the region, their porters became lagers. Likewise, we used our lager yeast to brew this dark, strong, but deceptively smooth porter. Malt forward with mellow roasted notes from black malt and wheat, it is rounded out with honey malt, flaked barley and Czech Saaz hops.
