Our porter is a nice balance between malt, roasted, and hop flavor.
Abel Porter was a veteran of the Revolutionary War, and one of the original brass makers in Waterbury. Named in his honor, the chocolate malt and roasted barley create a full bodied beer. Our porter is a nice balance between malt, roasted, and hop flavor. The addition of vanilla and bourbon barrel oak make the Abel Porter our favorite which we’ve affectionately named “beer candy”. This beer will definitely change the minds of people who typically don’t prefer darker beers.
