Beer Description

Ordinary Bitter isn’t very bitter and is far from ordinary. A style not often seen in the US, the Ordinary Bitter is a British ale produced as a “session” beer. That means it’s lighter in body, lower in alcohol, thirst quenching and immensely drinkable. More of a light toffee color with light caramel and soft toasty aromas, the Dr. B.O.B. is a pleasing pint of ale for everyday drinking, especially at lunch or as a starter. Dr. Bartlett S. Durham is the origin of our city’s name. Dr. Durham purchased land between Wake and Orange counties, where he built a train station. The postman, not knowing what to call the place, would shout out “mail’s here for Durham!” Hops Used: Northern Brewer, Goldings
