Beer Description
The black ale has been given the designation of ‘Catoctin Dark Ale’ or the so-called ‘Black IPA’. Pitch black has a subtle pitch/resinous-pine aroma. Wonderful interplay between it’s rich toasted malt flavor and the hop flavor desired. Aromatics which come through as pine, herbal and floral. Pretty full bodied for as dry as it is, with a focused flavor profile.
