Empirical Electric Blue Cream Ale

The style is a hybrid-brewed with much of the same ingredients as a Pilsener, but fermented with an ale yeast at cooler temperatures so that it is crisp and clean in flavor. Our version features a light, bready malt character courtesy of German Vienna Malt, while the addition of 10% rye adds a fruity/spicy note. The beer is finished with a conservative amount of German Tettnanger hops-just enough to know they are there. The earthy/minty hop profile from the Tettnanger mingles with the spiciness from the rye, yielding a supremely drinkable and balanced beer.
