Beer Description
Just a few blocks from us, Cleveland’s Franklin Castle has the distinction of being known as Ohio’s most haunted house. Hans Tiedemann, a German immigrant who got rich from his barrel-making business and later the banking industry, built the house in the mid-1800’s. Legend says that the house has been home to a German Singing Society, a doctor’s office, apartments, and even bootleggers. We couldn’t think of a better way to mark the season than with a spiced ale named after this eerie landmark. This tasty concoction was brewed with cinnamon, ginger, allspice, nutmeg and muscavado sugar and is a perfect drink to warm up with, as the season cools.
