Beer Description
This stout is brewed using a generous portion of oatmeal in the grist. It has a silky feel on the palate and some very mild sweetness in the finish balanced by roasty flavor from the roasted barley.
The recipe for this black-colored oatmeal stout was based on one provided by Kinney Baughman, The Brewer at Cottonwood, Boone’s first craft brewery back in the ‘1990’s. This stout is brewed using a generous portion of oatmeal in the grist. It has a silky feel on the palate and some very mild sweetness in the finish balanced by roasty flavor from the roasted barley.
