Beer Description
Rabbit’s Reserve #4: Oktoberfest In celebration of all things German, Red Hare used classic ingredients from the motherland of bier to recreate this much beloved celebratory beer style for the fourth Rabbit’s Reserve: Oktoberfest. The result is a lucid copper hued brew, characterized by a malty, bready and slightly nutty smooth taste. Red Hare’s brewers took a classic marzen grain bill starting with Munich and Vienna malts, then added wheat and a new Maltster’s Reserve crystal malt to give a new dimension to the classic Oktoberfest taste. German Hallertau hops help balance out the malt, provide a slightly earthy aroma and lend a fruity hint to the taste. A traditional German lager yeast shipped over from Munich set the stage for a lengthy lagering process which was key to the flavor profile for this German lager beer style.
