Beer Description
This beer was dry hopped with 22lbs of Mandarina Bavaria, a new aroma variety from Germany that features tangerine aromas.
The 5th in the series is One Box Mandarina Bavaria, it was designed around a light, somewhat malty base with a solid IPA bitterness level and then dry hopped with 2.2lbs per bbl, this equivalent to 44lbs of hops in a 20 bbl batch, or one whole box. Being from Germany, the hop aromas are not overpowering, but balanced along with some floral and herbal notes. The flavor has a subtle apricot note to it as well. It has a pleasant hoppiness, a good malt flavor, and some resinous flavors typically found in West Coast IPA’s.
