A double IPA with intense hop aroma and flavor and an equally commanding bitterness.
This enormous beer is Double (or Imperial) IPA with intense hop aroma and flavor with an equally commanding bitterness. We use five different varieties of hops in this brew to create hop nirvana. The flavor is strong and complex while the malt backbone helps balance the alpha power of this big, long time Sockeye favorite. This is a very special Double IPA we brew during American Craft Beer Week in a small, limited release batch. With a calculated IBU of 180, it is not for the wimpy beer drinker so if you’re not open to a hop load, share it with someone who is. For American Northwest IPA hopheads, it is bliss.
