Beer Description
Our 2010 Pumpkin Saison is a true belgian-style farmhouse ale, made of seasonal ingredients in the traditional style. This year’s harvest of local “Pie Sweet” pumpkins, warm fermented with aromatic spices has yielded an extraordinary beer that defies comparison to anything in its class. Dry (not sweet) and ruddy orange in color, the complex flavor, color, and bouquet of this beer bring to mind preserved fruits, fall foliage, and the warm kitchen of a bakery in full autumn swing. The pumpkins were grown using all-natural and sustainable techniques on a local biodynamic (but not yet certified organic) farm.
