Barrel fermented Wild Ale.
The Union of Jackie O’s founder and his beautiful bride was a celebration that brought Crooked Stave to Athens, Ohio. An opportunity to craft something unique and memorable, The Ties that Bind was brewed with barley, wheat, oats and spelt. The wort was fermented in red wine barrels with a blend of Jackie O’s house souring cultures. After aging for 2 years on lees, a bright and assertive sour ale emerged with both depth and grace. This beer represents a convivial toast to unions large and small. Like marriage, an act of collaboration and admiration that will continue to develop and satisfy for years to come.
