There is nothing quite as tasty as a fresh hopped beer, and this Fresh Hop Pale Ale was truly a joy to brew. Every year, our brewing team loads up the shop truck and the refrigerated van on a mission to get farm-fresh hops. It’s a brutal, but scenic 12 hour drive to Yakima, Washington where we arrive at the harvesting facility to select our lot. Our brewers personally escort the hops back to Santa Rosa where we immediately put them into a waiting batch of beer. In this offering, a classic pale ale wort is infused with hundreds of pounds of Belma hops, which can best be described as strawberry, melon, cucumber, citrus, and a touch of dank.
