Beer Description

Old Potentate is a British style Old Ale made with Thomas Fawcett and & Sons Marris Otter malt as a base.

British and Belgian Crystal malts round out the malt bill. The dominate hop profile is that of East Kent Golding. Both taste and aroma are of rich caramel, fruitcake and a slight nuttiness. Subtle spice and earthiness play a second role in the finish. The beer is very malty, but well balanced by the hops.
