Methusalem is a tradidional Dortmunder Altbier which was especially popular in the 18th century in the area around Dortmund.
It used to be one of the richest top-fermenting beers in Germany. Named after the legendary world’s oldest man, Methusalem is The Monarchy’s perilously drinkable version of a classic “Adambier”- the slightly sour & hoppy strong Altbier that enjoyed great popularity in 19th century Dortmund. Perfect for storing, the mighty Methusalem is, like it’s namesake, made to last a long time.
