Beer Description
Generously hopped with Citra and Nelson Sauvin, this 5.8% unfiltered Pale Lager was brewed with the gang from Right Proper Brewing Company to commemorate our good buddy Phil Runco’s upcoming wedding!
A collaboration with DC’s inimitable Right Proper, this hoppy pale lager channels the spirit of our house IPA Home* into a crispy, refined, 5.8% package.
As with Home*, we brew Palaces of Montezuma using a svelte pilsen malt base and a kiss of rye. Similarly, it’s hopped entirely with Citra on the hot side, then receives a generous dry-hop of Nelson Sauvin and Citra. You’re likely well familiar with the magical union of these New Zealand and Pacific Northwest varietals: crushed white grape meets melon and citrus zest.
We originally made this zippy little quasi-IPL for another magical union of sorts — the wedding of beer writer (and our good friend) Phil Runco.
