Beer Description
Kettle soured and fermented atop a ton of dragonfruit and fresh hibiscus flowers. Tart, floral and juicy.
For our second brew in this celebration of Yetti-esque cryptids we travel from the snowy woods of Southwestern Alaska to the remote mountains of Hubei, China. Dotted with lakes and split by both the Han and Yangtze, this area is haunted by the Yeren, literally translated to either ‘wild-man’ or ‘man monkey’.
To pay homage to this beast we looked to the cuisine and exports of Hubei, and tried to recreate the sour and slightly sweet, pungent sauce accompanying their beloved Wuchang Bream with a Sour Ale brewed with Dragonfruit and Hibiscus, with a blood red color like the prized Hubei marble they export. Our Yeren is a Kettle sour brewed with golden promise, flaked oats, wheat and lactose. Kettle soured and fermented atop a ton of dragonfruit and fresh hibiscus flowers. Tart, floral and juicy.
