Beer Description
Dead Key is a dark saison with a robust malt bill and fermented with our house yeast blend. We then allow this base to ripen in Apple Brandy barrels from District distilling for seven months.
Dead Key is a dark saison with a robust malt bill and fermented with our house yeast blend. We then allow this base to ripen in Apple Brandy barrels from District distilling for seven months. The result is a strong beer with layers of burnt sugar, dates and a pronounced brandy sweetness. Out houSe yeast blend produced a very dry beer, so we did a blend of nitrogen and CO2 which gives the beer a creamy texture.
