Beer Description
This 4.5% ABV saison pays homage to the low alcohol European farmhouse ales that were typically brewed with a variety of different grains including ones that have been mostly forgotten about due to industrialization. For this batch we wanted to highlight Triticale, a hybrid of wheat and rye, and Emmer, an ancient hulled wheat. So we utilized a base of Pilsner malt and added triticale malt and flaked emmer; in the kettle we hopped it with Czech Saaz and Kazbek. After fermentation was complete with our favorite Belgian saison strain we bottle conditioned it in 750ml bottles.
