Malecasta is a red sour ale aged for a year in first-use wine and brandy barrels to enhance and highlight the bright, vinous, blackberry notes. Tannic, smooth, and bright, we wait a year for this beer to reach its peak, and then blend the barrels to attain the perfect resonance of our house sour culture with blackberries. Barrel-aged American sour ale fermented with blackberries batch # 256 (6.6%-AbV, 500ml bottles).
