At New Bohemia Brewing Co. (NuBo), we are inspired not only by the modern craft beer scene, but by centuries-old knowledge, traditions and techniques we found in Central Europe. The Pilsner style comes from the region of Bohemia, specifically the town of Plzn, in the Czech Republic. Pilsner beers changed brewing and rapidly became a global phenomenon 150 years ago. Our special release, the Pilsner Soquel, taps into both old and new wisdom, creating a taste that is a Santa Cruz original, in tribute to the traditional. Featuring premium local Admiral Malts, hops from Europe, yeast from Cesky Budejovice in the heart of Bohemia, and water from Soquel Creek Water District, this is a global-local blend all its own.
