Beer Description
The Halcyon is a mythical bird of Greek legend which is now known as a species of woodland kingfisher, famous for its colorful plumage and long beak.
The legend says that this bird had the power to calm the rough waters of the sea. However, in the 16th century the phrase ‘halcyon days’ had taken on a new meaning. It lost it’s association with the nesting bird and began to figuratively mean “calm days.”
We brewed this beer in an effort to return to calmer days. Gentle notes of stone fruit and mango mingle with forward citrus notes and mild pine resin. Halcyon Hazy IPA will carry you away on bright beautiful wings.
