New York Cider Moses Snook

Long have we felt that, with such an evocative name (and life), Moses Snook deserved a New York Cider Company blend in his honor. The 19th century horse breeder, farmer, and highway commissioner built our Ithaca, NY, farmhouse and his name is inscribed on the massive beams the old hay barn. We like to think that old man Snook (who knows if he was old or not?) planted the ancient orchard nearby – where we still gather heirloom apples from the arthritic 125-to-150 year old trees. Finally, we created a sparkling cider with the character to bear the name. Thanks to very ripe Newtown Pippin, Golden Russet, Jonagold, and wild foraged fruit, Moses Snook is big, rich, and dry. And deserving of a rocking chair, a porch, and a vista. Enjoy cool.
