Beer Description
Call us traditionalists. At New York Cider Company, we don’t do sweet, and we don’t like gimmicks. We press ripe apples and wait till spring. The way it’s been done for millennia. That said, we believe dogma stifles creativity. THE HOPPED ONE is a happy union of these opposing philosophies. We started with a traditional blend of early American and English apples (Rhode Island Greening, Northern Spy, Baldwin, and Cox’s Orange Pippin) and, radical for us, paired it with another ingredient: aromatic New York State Willamette hops. They smell . . . no way around it . . . like weed. And they impart complexity, resulting in a hopped sparkling cider that is fruity, herbal, and refreshing. Enjoy cool.
