Beer Description
This beer is a tribute to the fire towers that were decommissioned in 2016. A slightly smoky porter with a tingle of heat from the peppers. Low carbonation allows the pepper flavor to come through.
In the early 1930’s, the state of Wisconsin operated 119 fire towers, perched over the treetops to spot smoke and fire. The towers averaged about 100 feet high and were a critical part of fire protection. 72 remained in service until they were taken out of service in 2016. Many of them still stand.
