Beer Description
On April 21st 1836, the Texian army and been involved in the “Runaway Scrape” for weeks and reached San Jacinto after the Mexican Army destroyed Harrisburg (just east of present-day downtown Houston). The army was frustrated and ready to fight so, as the Mexican army approached, General Sam Houston instructed “Deaf” Smith to destroy Vince’s Bridge. The bridge crossed Sims Bayou and was the only escape route for the Mexican Army.
