Owen L. Murphy, MD, affectionately known as “Doc”, was a physician who served in the Farmington Valley for over 50 years. Doc was well known for his skills, keen sense of humor, and generosity among his community. Throughout the Great Depression Doc was often paid for his services with chickens, bushels of apples, and occasional libations
