Beer Description
We did our damnedest to sour this brew with 19 months in barrel and multiple doses of brettanomyces, but our strains didn’t stand a chance against the potent abv and residual sugar in this unique rye wine.
A trip to Sugar Creek malt farm yielded an intriguing ingredient: Crystal rye malt. We reached out to Garrett at Street side brewing in Cincinnati, and he pitched the idea that you are holding in your hand. We did our damnedest to sour this brew with 19 months in barrel and multiple doses of brettanomyces, but our strains didn’t stand a chance against the potent abv and residual sugar in this unique rye wine.
