Beer Description
The Vistula is the longest and largest river in Poland, flowing mightily north from the Carpathian mountains to the Baltic Sea. For craft fans in South Carolina, however, Vistula is a big Baltic Porter flowing mightily with roasty mocha complexity! True to the style, Charles Towne Fermentory used Lager yeast to give this Porter a remarkably smooth body and dry finish. Vistula boasts big waves of malty dessert flavors swirled in cacao nib decadence, punctuated on the end with a dry coffee roastiness. The beer tastes so stacked between all the notes of chocolate and coffee, you might think it packs a crazy level of booze. But, surprise! It clocks in at a comparatively easygoing 7.5% ABV, so you can sip away all evening.
