Beer Description
Dreamed up with our Virginia brewing compatriots Ardent Craft Ales (Richmond, VA), Southern Crossed is a delightfully thirst-quenching New Zealand-style rye pilsner deftly dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin. Kettle additions of both Motueka and Nelson Sauvin (mash, bittering, whirlpool) provide firm but pleasing bitterness as well as unmistakably New Zealand hop flavor. German malted rye provides a wonderful, earthy counterpoint to the tropical hop character while accentuating a dry finish. Eminently drinkable, Southern Crossed a taste of summer in early autumn.
