For this blend, we took the various farmhouse ales that were aged in apricot brandy and orange liqueur barrels and aged them on fresh Colorado apricots at a rate of 2.5 pounds per gallon.
For this blend, we took the various farmhouse ales that were aged in apricot brandy and orange liqueur barrels and aged them on fresh Colorado apricots at a rate of 2.5 pounds per gallon. The result is exactly what I was hoping for, with the base beer still being dominant in the aroma, and with the apricot citrus notes helping and being accentuated by the base beer!
