Beer Description

Hopped with El Dorado Cryo, Centennial, Citra.

Beer, an ancient beverage with a history spanning millennia, has long been an integral part of the cultural fabric of Northern England, particularly in Yorkshire. When Northern Monk set out to resurrect a historic brew, initially for a beer festival, they sought the guidance of a university professor who aided them in delving into the beers and brewing methods of antiquity.

Empowered with this newfound knowledge, they crafted a pilot brew inspired by academic research and the remnants of ancient vessels discovered in Scotland, which contained cereal, honey, and meadowsweet from the early Bronze Age. In lieu of hops, dried meadowsweet flowers were employed for flavor and stability.
