Beer Description

We get notes of sparkling Pinot Noir, black peppercorns, fragrant violets, farmhouse hay bale, raspberry jam, and plum preserves.

Saison de Pinot Noir pours a striking, opaque, purple hue into a glass and quickly forms an effervescent cap of light pink, aromatic foam.

This lively ale was brewed with NJ grown @rabbit_hill_malthouse pilsner and wheat malts, hopped lightly in the kettle, and fully attenuated with a locally sourced, saison yeast strain that provides a dry, wine-like, crisp, mineral finish.

During active fermentation we injected the juice of 100% Pinot Noir grapes and the fruit sugars contained within were broken down by the yeast cells and converted into alcohol, c02 bubbles, and a myriad of wonderful, aromatic, fruity esters and complex phenolics.

Post fermentation we blended the super dry saison-wine hybrid with more Pinot Noir grape juice to give it a touch of balancing sweetness.

The result is a lightly acidic, spritzy, multidimensional, red grape flavored farmhouse ale with unique yeast character and a refreshing, semi-dry finish.

We get notes of sparkling Pinot Noir, black peppercorns, fragrant violets, farmhouse hay bale, raspberry jam, and plum preserves.
