Beer Description
Pouring a dark copper topped by a fluffy cream-colored head, Our Old Pals has an assertive hop bitterness balanced by a sturdy yet clean and crisp malt character. The liquid is malty, rich, complex, and dry, with a slightly nutty finish.
Brewed in collaboration with Twin Elephant. Brewed as true example of the style, we utilized the same mash process as our recent Oktoberfest Märzen. We went the extra mile for our take on this traditional German-style beer by employing a complex mashing program, featuring multiple temperature steps and a single decoction. The brewing process also features a choice selection of German malts and was fermented using Lager yeast but at slightly warmer temperatures than you would typically see for a Lager.
