Beer Description
Very dry, very crushable. A low gravity dark lager brewed with old timey Czech traditions in mind. The key, according to Czech brewers is to handgrind your dark malts and add them very late, and very cold in the mashing process to unleash delicate chocolate flavors without creating any astringency or roastiness. This makes for a remarkably smooth, flavorful lager. Despite being 4.5%, drinkers can expect a flavorful beer with big notes of wood, dark chocolate, and burnt sugar. This beer was single decocted and thusly has some burnt sugar/maillard reaction notes on the finish.
