Beer Description
Irish-style dry stout; smooth, rich, and roasty
At the 2014 World Beer Cup, The Bomb won the Gold Award for the Irish-style Dry Stout category. Moon River Brewing crafts this smooth black ale in the tradition of the Irish-style dry stout. In describing this style, we often use terms that are seemingly contradictory. The Bomb鈥檚 hue is as dark as a tomb though it is exceptionally light in body. We employ roasted barley to yield a bold, coffee-like richness, yet the Bomb finishes tangy and bright on the palate. Finally, despite its inky, black color and intensity of flavor, it is one of our lowest in alcohol. Don鈥檛 be afraid of the dark!
