Motorworks Dunder Rye

This classic rye-style beer, traditionally known as a Roggenbier, was historically brewed when wheat and barley supplies were running low.Rye would be substituted for a portion of the wheat or malted barley in the recipe. This specific beer was brewed in collaboration with JB, the owner of Mr. Dunderback’s and long time friend of Head Brewer, Bob Haa. Sweet caramel rye flavors can be detected on the nose. Mild spicy rye flavors are supported by a malty backbone. It is a reddish brown color with a refreshing medium-light body. It has flavors of chocolate rye with distinct caramel notes. There is a lingering Porter like flavor on the finish making this a very unique and well rounded brew.
