Beer Description
This quadruple, or “quad,” is crafted to produce a beer with great strength and bold flavors. The body is medium with deep reddish brown and garnet hues and has a sweet malty palate with a low bitterness. This style of beer dates back to the Middle Ages and was originally brewed by Trappist Monks in Monasteries. Belgian styles such as Einkle (now called Blonde), Dubbel, Tripel, and Quads were crafted by monks for their own consumption and also sold to the general public to raise money for charities and for their Abbeys.
