The Nickelpoint Strong Scotch Ale is deeply malty, with hints of oak and coriander for a true Scottish experience. It is dark brown in color and often has ruby red highlights, like the Porter. Nickelpoint’s Strong Scotch Ale (also known as the Wee Heavy) is fermented at cooler temperatures than most ales, and with lower hopping rates. The sweetness of the malt and moderate carbonation belie the fact that this is a high gravity beer boasting in the neighborhood of 9% ABV.
