Beer Description
A take on the classic Berliner Weiss, this German sour wheat beer is reminiscent of a cold glass of unsweetened lemonade. Achtung was first kettle soured for 3 days with a pure strain of Lactobacillus Delbruckii before being boiled to deliver a tart, lactic sourness. The beer is then boiled, cooled and sent through a secondary fermentation with blend of brewer’s yeast, brettanomyces, and lactobacillus and finishes very dry. “Drive-” refers to the 100lbs of Shull Farms Strawberries pitched during secondary. The resulting beer is tart, light bodied and effervescent.
