A smooth, toasty coffee stout with a touch of acidity. Brewed using brewers 2 row, chocolate malt, roasted barley, and Flaked barley. We added 20 pounds of Ethipoian roasted coffee directly into the beer while it was in primary.
One part California Common and one part American Ale, the “both-both” comes from the use of two yeast strains: an ale yeast to pull out the subtle hop character and a lager yeast to create the unique flavor this beer imparts.
Our incredibly popular fruit ale is brewed with a blend of brewers, aromatic and caramel malts for a medium body, then boiled and dry-hopped with Centennial hops to balance the sweetness of the guava juice.
Our Kara-Belle Blonde ale is lightly balanced with Magnum for a touch of citrus. It has a golden blonde color with subtle fruitiness and slight bitterness.
Kölsch is a German style ale with a malty aroma and a smooth and slightly sweet finish. It has a light golden color and a light, easy to drink, refreshing taste.
Our imperial take on an American staple. We did not skimp on the hops for this medium bodied heavy weight. We start the hop countdown at 90 minutes with Zeus. Centennial and Simcoe are added for more bittering and much more flavor!
Our Milk Stout has a mild roasted flavor that provides hints of coffee and chocolate. The added lactose adds a nice sweetness and a not-too-bitter full body. It has a beautiful dark chocolate color and a silky smooth finish.
Welcome to the FBC! We are a cozy local spot popular with locals and “beer tourists” alike. Beyond our passion for making new friends and tasty beverages, we strive to be as sustainable and as local as possible; our brewing equipment was purchased from Psycho Brew LLC of Greenville, MI, and we brew with hops sourced from the many growers in Michigan. Our spent grain is sold to local farmers instead of going to waste in a landfill.
