About the brewery
The Swan Brewery is a brewery located in Perth, Western Australia.
Swan was originally established in 1857 by a former school teacher and widowed father of six, Frederick Sherwood. The site was in the vicinity of a hillside spring which ran down to the Swan River and Sherwood was captivated by the black swans, which were prevalent on the river. Hence the name The Swan Brewery.
