Beer Description
Following in the footsteps of our maple sap ales, we brewed this new beer without water, using 100% locally harvested yellow birch sap. We added some debittered black malt to an English brown ale recipe, and then added sarsaparilla and yellow birch twigs to the brew kettle. The resulting ale is black in color and lightly hopped yet has unique flavors of wintergreen and root beer.
