Beer Description

A 1090 style Pale Ale. Brewed with 10% barley and 90% high protein grains like spelt, wheat and oats to create a milky haze and texture. Hopped and dry hopped 100% with NZ Nelson

Yellow Milk (Nelson) is a 1090 style pale ale hopped entirely with the most ripe 2020.NZ Nelson Sauvin hops we could find. Clocking in at 5% this is a new style of beer that we have developed in collaboration with our friends at Nanodog . Normally when brewing hazy beers your grain content is 50-70% barley and 50-30% specialty grains that add haziness such as wheat, oats or spelt. In this new style we have flipped the conventions on their head and only used 10% barley and 90% protein heavy grains including white wheat, lots of spelt and flaked oats. Hence the “1090”. The goal was to create the most ridiculous THICCC and full mouth feel we could and give the beer a creamy, opaque appearance like no other.
