Beer Description
A most clear golden, airy off-white head. Nose is smokey and is round and warming, let me think more on a Lagavulin than on a Port Charlotte.
Smoked bacon, slightly oak, wood. Nose is very lively, peated, pronounced. Taste is ashes, bitter, fresh, vanilla, oak, but feels a bit out of balance. Sweet finish, smokey. good brew, but this barrel age pushes it too much to one side. Definately worth a try, but bit too extreme to enjoy. In that sense, it is a “nice” Port Charlotte-finish.
